The Lieder Theatre Company acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
Australia’s longest continuously-running theatre company
Est. 1891
Based in the historic Lieder Theatre, built in 1929 by the Goulburn Liedertafel Society, the Lieder Theatre Company creates bold and imaginative live performance for local, national, and international audiences.
A not-for-profit organisation, Lieder supports artists and communities through professional productions, training opportunities, and inclusive creative programs. Our work spans Australian and international theatre, youth and community engagement, theatre for social change, Indigenous-led projects, film, and international festival participation.
The Lieder Theatre remains a place where stories are shared, skills are passed on, creativity is nurtured and play is taken seriously.
